Sadoski began his career in the theatre, working as an understudy for Mark Ruffalo (Mark Rosenthal) in the Off-Broadway production of the Second Stage Theatre of Kenneth Lonergan's critically acclaimed show This is Our Youth. This production was the beginning of many more for the New York-based theater group. He has performed in many Off-broadway and Broadway productions. He also performed in many regional theater productions. He played the role of Greg in Neil LaBute's production of Reasons to be Beautiful for MCC Theatre with his Newsroom co-star Alison Pill. After a critically lauded the play's sold-out run off Broadway the play was transferred to Broadway in April of 2009, where it received three Tony Award nominations (Best Actor: Sadoski, Best Actress: Marin Ireland, Best Play) in addition to three Drama Desk Award nominations (Best actor: Sadoski, Best Director: Terry Kinney and Best Play) Also, two Outer Critics Circle Award nominations (Best actor: Sadoski, Best New Play),and three Drama League Award nominations (Best Play, Distinguished Performance Awards: Sadoski and Ireland). [6] Neil LaBute credited Sadoski with the shift in tone of Reasons to be Pretty, a departure from earlier plays. He wrote: "His thoughtfulness and good heart allowed him to not be able to revert back to anything I've previously performed." My plays often end with a dark tone. He helped me see other shades in the palette. I thought that was an actual thing. He was the original Trip Wyeth character in Jon Robin Baitz's Other Desert Cities, for which he was honored with an Obie Award (and a Lucille Lortel Award). The Outer Critics Circle named the production Outstanding New Off-Broadway Performer in 2011. Sadoski was also seen on Broadway with Ben Stiller and Edie Falco.
